MT&H Go to HIMSS 2017 for FDA Safety Reporting Portal Demonstration!
MT&H, the combined partnering team of Magadia Consulting, Inc. and Thomas & Herbert Consulting, made an appearance at the 2017 HIMSS convention in Orlando, Florida from February 19th-23rd. Recently, the team has contributed primary support to the FDA’s Safety Reporting Portal, which provides assistance for Food and Drug adverse event reporting. While there, the team provided a demonstration of the portal, which allowed thousands of attendees to better understand the work MT&H is providing to our client.
MT&H will continue its on-going CORE initiative to provide excellent IT service to our clients.
Magadia Consulting, Inc. is now ISO 27001:2013 Certified!
Magadia Consulting is now officially ISO 27001:2013 certified. ISO 27001:2013 is an Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification standard provided by the International Organization for Standardization. This standard measures and evaluates the effectiveness of a company’s ISMS with respect to organizational content of information security, with an emphasis on risk assessment.

ISO 9001:2008 Certification
As further evidence of our outstanding quality in the information Technology (IT) industry, Magadia Consulting has attained ISO 9001:2008 Certification. Awarded by the International Organization for Standardization, the ISO 9001:2008 establishes quality standards for our Quality Management, Service Delivery, Resource Management, and Program Management processes. In order to achieve certification, Magadia Consulting engaged in an in-depth review of all processes involved in delivering IT services to our clients. This review also covered corporate policies and processes about confidentiality, privacy, data security, employee performance assessment, subcontractor management and systems used to gauge client satisfaction. The results of these reviews were used to improve system processes and to develop additional employee training where necessary. Magadia’s ISO certification does not represent a new focus on quality for Magadia. Since being founded in 2000, Magadia has had a focus on quality as its foundation. How Magadia and the IT industry defines quality has changed over the past decade, but Magadia’s quality focus has always driven how we deliver our services and treat our clients.
Bowie Business Innovation Center (Bowie BIC)
Ms. Gebrekristos, President and CEO of Magadia Consulting was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Bowie Business Innovation Center (Bowie BIC). The Bowie Business Innovation Center (Bowie BIC) is a comprehensive business incubation program located at Bowie State University and designed to help accelerate the growth of early stage companies. Bowie BIC provides the business support programs and facilities to help focus on what is truly important-growing your business.
GSA IT Schedule 70
Magadia Consulting Inc. is a recipient of the GSA Federal Supply IT Schedule 70 contract (GS-35F-021DA) and is now listed in the Schedules e-Library. The GSA IT Schedule 70 is the largest and most widely used acquisition vehicle in the federal government and provides direct access to products and services worth billions of dollars from over 5,000 certified industry partners. Ms. Gebrekristos, President and CEO appointed as Bowie State University’s Entrepreneurship Academy Advisory Council Member.
The President and CEO of Magadia Consulting Inc., Ms. Magdalena Gebrekristos has been appointed as a member of Bowie State University’s Entrepreneurship Academy Advisory Council. Ms. Gebrekristos was appointed in September to the council which will serve as an advisory board to the College of Business Entrepreneurship Academy (EA). EA was formed to provide a pathway for practical and experiential learning opportunities to help high school and college students establish entrepreneurial ventures by reorganizing, analyzing, and taking advantage of business opportunities within the state of Maryland.
