Magdalena Gebrekristos is the Founder and CEO of Magadia Consulting, Inc. She is also a Co-founder and Managing Director to the following Joint Ventures firms: MT&H Systems, LLC, Team One Federal LLC and Tri Management Solutions LLC. Ms. Gebrekristos has over 20 years of experience in providing technology consulting, project management, quality assurance, system development life cycle, and information systems security services to top government agencies (NIH and DOJ) and private sector companies (CACI, Jacobs Technology, WESTAT, and Project HOPE). She has provided guidance on the implementation of industry standards and best practices to CIOs, middle, and upper management on how to deliver quality products and services.
Ms. Gebrekristos holds a M.S. in Management Information Systems and Information Assurance, B.S. in Management Information Systems Management.
Jim J. Sippel
Vice President/Managing Director
James Sippel is the Vice President/Managing Director at Magadia Consulting, Inc. He works closely with the President/CEO on strategies to achieve Company goals. As an executive leader with a Geospatial Intelligence background, he has experience in Consulting, Business Development, Strategic Planning, Partner Management, Geospatial Enterprise Operations, Systems Requirements, Program Management, Contract Negotiation, Change Management, and Systems Development.
James had a 33 year career at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and its’ predecessor organization, the Defense Mapping Agency (DMA). He held various positions related to avionics simulation, advanced weapons systems development, systems integration, and contract management. He transitioned to Systems Engineer and Program Management. In these capacities, he earned the Distinguished Civilian Service Award, Hammer Award, and Defense Joint Meritorious Award. He was the Associate Director, Commercial Partnerships Group which encompassed managing the production of NGA products and services as well as building and leveraging commercial partnerships and advising executives on outsourcing strategy development.
Mr. Sippel retired from Federal Service and accepted a position as the Vice President and Senior Program Manager at Science Applications International Corporation’s (SAIC) Space & Geospatial Intelligence Business Unit. He oversaw the SAIC Geospatial Community of Practice and managed relationships with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Department of Homeland Security, and other Intelligence Community initiatives.
Mr. Sippel holds an MBA and BS in Geography. He is a Certified Acquisition Professional. Additionally, he has authored and published several technical articles and was a frequent speaker at national and international conferences on systems development, engineering, and management.
